Meet the authors - Carmel O’ Toole

Growing up in Kellystown, a small cottage near Carrawaystick Waterfall in the heart of Glenmalure, Carmel O’Toole was fascinated by the many rich and varied stories of the valley’s history.

Living in Glenmalure all of her life, Carmel and her husband Peter have worked the farm and raised their three children. Inspired by the deep sense of history in the Glen, she has devoted many years to research culminating in her book about Glenmalure.
