Meet the authors - kathy trant

While writing a thesis on the Blessington Estate Kathy became fascinated by the story of the landlord and tenants in the Blessington area. In particular two families are focused upon, the Boyles and the Hills or Downshires as the latter were more commonly known as. Michael Boyle, Archbishop of Dublin, founded Blessington in 1667 and the Downshires inherited the estate in 1778.
